The Acting Executive Director of the Forest Services Division (FSD) of the Forestry Commission, Dr. Gordon Kofi Sarfo-Adu, has paid a working and familiarisation visit to the Bono East Region.
Dr. Sarfo-Adu was warmly welcomed by Mr. David Kwaku Appiagyei, the Manager of the Forest Services Division in the Bono East Region. Mr. Appiagyei gave a presentation on an overview of the operations of the Region. He mentioned that the Region comprises three forest districts , namely Kintampo, Nkoranza, and Atebubu, and it covers 11 political districts.
Dr. Sarfo-Adu expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and took the opportunity to brief staff on the progress made by the Division since he assumed office, as well as outline the strategic direction going forward.
During an interactive session, management staff posed various questions and concerns, all of which were gladly addressed by the Acting Executive Director.
The visit formed part of the Acting Executive Director’s broader agenda to engage with regional offices, understand their challenges, and strengthen operational collaboration within the Division.
